10 am – 2 pm

CALLING ALL PETS!!!

Bring your family and “best friend” to the Pet Blessings and Fun Dog Show at Bethel Wildwood Church.

Blessings will be offered by Pastor Jeff Fothergill and Chaplain Shirley Martka. You may bring your pet(s) to be blessed in the courtyard throughout the day.

The Dog Show will feature free “fun” classes for all types of dogs and “their people” (handlers).  Pet handlers may be children or adults.  The show will offer classes such as: Most Gorgeous Girl and Best Beautiful Boy, Waggiest Tail, Most Precious Pup, Best Smile, and Shiniest Coat. Other classes such as Best Costume, Best Trick, Best Junior Handler, Best Senior Dog, and Best Dog-Owner Look-Alikes will round out the Fun Dog Show.

New this year: an Obstacle Course which will feature planks to walk upon, cones to maneuver, ramps and jumps, and timed events.

There will also be a display area for non-canine pets, should they show up. We’ll look for the Largest, Smallest, and Most Unusual Pets.

Ribbons and prizes will be awarded to the winners of each class.

All pets must be restrained with a leash or in a container at all times while on the grounds.

Participants and attendees are invited for hot dogs and other refreshments during the day, or you may bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the church grounds. You may also bring lawn chairs to watch the show and other activities.

Bethel Wildwood Church is located at 17500 Old Manchester Road in Wildwood. This active and historical church was built in 1875 and is also home to one of the oldest cemeteries in the area. It could be a memorable place to visit as Veterans’ Day approaches as numerous war veterans are at rest at Bethel Cemetery. Self-guided sanctuary
tours are also available while visiting Bethel.

Please plan to visit us soon!
